October's Bright Blue Weather

That's the title of a poem by Helen Hunt Jackson. It's a wonderful poem that describes the delight that is October. And this has definitely been a delightful October! Besides a little wind from Sandy, our weather has been gorgeous and we've spent much time outside.
It's been another busy month, and things are about to get a little topsy-turvy. More to come on that later, but I want to get you caught up on some of the goings-on of the last weeks.

Fort Bragg had its annual Volksmarch and we had a great time!

We got a commemorative stein and enjoyed some German food while we listened to the band after the walk.

Ooops-loaded these sideways. Tilt your head. :) Some ladies from the unit came over and we made a bunch of props for the photo booth our unit will be running at an upcoming Fall Festival.

Joshua has found a great way to kill time while we are waiting for Nick at physical therapy.

One evening on our way home from church we couldn't resist the glowing lights coming from the open-all-night Krispy Kreme restaurant.

Dessert and breakfast, all in one swoop!

We ran another 5K this month-Joshua knocked 9 minutes off his time!

We've been busy harvesting pecans from the tree in our front yard.

Yum!
And here we are, today. It's November already. No-shave November, isn't it called? I am guessing at least one male in our family will be participating in that, but I'm not sure. Life is good. God is good. All the time.
