Christmas Day

We had a wonderful day yesterday! We didn't get any snow, but it was pretty warm and sunny out, which is a good trade off for me. :)

The kids got up at 7, which is the allowed time. We had a leisurely morning opening presents, with a break in the middle for playing, and a breakfast of sticky buns, eggs, and sausage.

I will definitely miss it when we don't have a little one in the house anymore. Christmas is always so exciting with a small child. Joshua ran out side to see if the reindeer had eaten their food and found Santa's sooty bootprints on the hearth near the cookies. The delight on his face was priceless!

Just what I asked for!

a little downtime to enjoy. It was definitely a Star Wars Christmas around here. Joshua is playing Star Wars on his Leapster ("I'm doing math, mom!") and Nick is learning how to program R2D2.

We played some new games in the afternoon and had a nice ham dinner afterwards, followed by watching Prince Caspian.
