halfway through summer (Father's Day)

This morning I was whipping the boy together some brown linen medieval pants for a festival today (that's perfectly normal, right?) and as I sewed, I looked over at this computer and realized that I have not updated the blog in a VERY long time! And with my terrible memory, if I don't get these things down quickly, they'll be lost forever! (Have you seen Inside Out? That brain dump thing really resonated with me! (;  )

So I am going to backtrack to make sure that I get everything on here-and they may be in random order, but I can deal with it.

I had been under the weather, the weather had been under itself, so our plans for Father's Day were a bit restrained. We ended up having a lovely afternoon, though! We enjoyed a culinary Wanderweg-a stroll through the countryside with lots of stops to sample regional delicacies. The landscape here is just breathtaking-I can't get enough of it.

The rain held off til just before we made it back to the safety of the Jeep!

Happy Father's Day to our Soldier-dad! Dad's don't get to rest too much on their special day, but I think this one ended up being pretty good anyway. :)
