View of the dignitaries on the balcony. Lynne Cheney is sitting right in front of the first column on your right.

Joshua fell sound asleep during the ceremony. Snoring and everything!

A picture of my own personal veteran. I love this man.
There are so many incredible benefits to living in this area. We had never had the privilege of hearing Vice-President Cheney speak. We heard the 19-gun salute when he arrived and the playing of Taps as he layed the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, which was right on the other side of the amphitheater. We were surrounded on all sides by veterans of all ages. Different branches, different conflicts, different memories, one common bond. They all served their country with pride. They spoke to each other about their experiences, asked about units, patted each other on the back.
Our country is blessed.
