This coming weekend she'll be competing the 4 x 100m hurdles, 4 x 300m hurdles, long jump, high jump, and triple jump.

Up, Up, and Away
Here are a couple of pictures from Alyson's track meet. She made the varsity team--hooray!--and is now figuring out how to do all of this track stuff. Her natural ability combined with skills she learned in gymnastics have served her well. Maybe too well! Her hurdling coach is trying to get her to not clear the hurdles SO high--she's used to beautiful split leaps that need to stay in the air--not fast, flex-footed leaps that barely clear the obstacle! :)
